China Import And Export Fair (Canton Fair)
China Import and Export Fair, also called Canton Fair, is held twice a year in Spring and Autumn, since it was inaugurated in the Spring of 1957. It is China-s largest trade fair of the highest level, of the most complete varieties and of the largest attendance and business turnover, preserving its traditions, the Fair is a comprehensive and multi-functional event of international importance.

Fifty Trading Delegations, being composed of thousands of China’s best foreign trade corporations (enterprises) with good credibility and sound financial capabilities, take part the fair, including foreign trade companies, factories, scientific research institutions, foreign invested enterprises, wholly foreign-owned enterprises, private enterprises, etc.

Besides traditional way of negotiating against samples, the Fair holds Canton Fair online. The Fair leans to export trade, though import business is also done here. Apart from the above mentioned, various types of business activities such as economic and technical cooperation and exchanges, commodity inspection, insurance, transportation, advertising, consultation, etc. are also carried out in flexible ways. Business people from all over the world are gathering in Guangzhou, exchanging business information and developing friendship.

Travelling in Guangzhou

Urban communication
Metro:
Guangzhou’s new transportation system. A one-way ticket costs 2 to 8 Yuan, varying from the stations a passenger would take.
Bus:
No conductors on bus. Passengers should insert fares into the fare box when getting on bus via the front door. Full Course Fare: 2Yuan/person for air-conditioner bus and 1 Yuan for non air-conditioned bus.
Taxi:
7 Yuan for the first 3 kilometers, the following fee is added according to the fee counter and the kinds of the Hired Cars: the car costs 2.6 Yuan/km.

Intercity traffic
Plane
Air flights from New Baiyun Airport to cities nationwide is available every day. International Direct Flights: to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Melbourme, Ho Chi Minh, Bangkok Osaka, and etc.

Train
Guangzhou Railway Station to cities nationwide such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hankou, and etc. Guangzhou Railway East Station to Hong Kong Kowloon, Shenzhen and Beijing-Kowloon.

Long-distance Bus
Available from most 4 or 5-star hotels to Hong Kong; several long-distance bus stations available in the downtown area to cities inside Guangdong Province and even nationwide.( they are: Huanshi Xilu, Guangdong Bus Station, Liuhua Bus Station, which opposite to the Railway Station, Baiyun Lu Bus Station, Guangyuan Lu Bus Station, Tianhe Bus Station)
